200 Days

One hundred days ago, I set a goal. Today, I have one hundred days to go.

I had completed several “thirty day challenge” commitments, so I knew what I was getting into. But Life is complicated, and trying to hold a laser-like focus for two hundred freaking consecutive days can be challenging. I’m half way there.

To motivate myself, each day I have put together a little digital poster. In the bottom left corner I recorded that countdown from 200. Just for fun, I decided to share these on the Web. To my surprise, others found them, and even shared them. It has been both gratifying and humbling to see these little messages get passed from friend to friend along this little network that we share.

Several of these messages are more than bumper stickers. Some are lessons with a steep tuition attached. The most common thread: don’t quit. Don’t give up. “Obstacles are put in our way to see if what we want is worth fighting for.”

When I look back on the past one hundred days, I can hardly believe the progress that has been made. What was “unlikely” a year ago is “undeniable” today. The people that I have met, the bonds that have been forged, the doors that have been opened and the opportunities that have been offered have transformed these last few months into an amazing journey. I can’t wait to see what the next hundred days holds.

Let’s roll.
